First day, First show…I was initially apprehensive about going to Pavan Kalyan’s movie as I did not have any particular opinion about him and moreover there were the crazy fan associations to think of. But finally we landed at the theatre totally enticed by Devi’s rocking tunes. The cool songs and energetic beats had me wishing to check out the picturization as soon as possible and BOY, it sure was awesome. Trivikram, the director truly knows how to captivate his audience. In this movie we have Pavan jiving with 3 dames and bashing up villains with equal ease.
So starting off with the hero- Pavan excels in his role of an ex-naxalite who’s trying to lead a normal life and u’ve got to believe he actually has 3 degrees in the flick!!! He underplays his character and the story gives him optimum space to showcase varied emotions (after many days you actually get to see his acting prowess). The comedy scenes featuring him, Prakash Raj and Brahmanandam are the highlights.
You also get to see trivikram’s trademark fights (with the villains oozing blood at every possible opportunity) and the punch lines are perfect. Kaamalinee Mukherji features in a short cameo as pavan’s first love and she looks really cute. Parvati Melton doesn’t have much to do either but she does look sophisticated and suave. The toast of the movie is Ileana. This girl from Goa gets a very decent role and she manages to look innocent and sexy at the same time. Her habit of ‘being 10secs late every time’ is funny and her expressions and acting sure have improved a lot.
The music is another thing to rant and rave about- Devi has definitely matched up to his previous superhit audios like bommarillu and varsham. He gives us very fresh and fun songs and u’ll find urself humming them in no time. There are no double entendres and it’s nice to see that there haven’t been too many censor cuts either. The climax actually comes as a surprise and those who expect a dhamaka fight in the end could be disappointed. Mahesh babu’s voiceover suits the entire situation especially when there are any intense scenes. So he probably could take up this job too.
I wouldn’t like to reveal the story line as the movie has released only today and any spills could spoil the enjoyment.
It’s a movie worth watching with the whole family and I can still find myself recalling some of the dialogues and laughing out loud. Go watch it and have fun. It’s not always that u get to watch 3 heroines with one hero in a clean entertainer!!!

Gamyam 1
I was hesitant to go to Gamyam in the first week of its release due to the star cast, when my friends planned for this movie. They came back from movie with full of Joy and appreciated the movie in such a way that i decided that i would watch this movie in the weekend and i did watch this movie on Saturday here in Dallas.I am a big movie buff, i watch almost 98% of pictures released in Telugu.I have been really vexed with the typical commercial movies that have been releasing with in our Telugu film industry with same old stereotype stories , huge budgets spent on casting and shooting locations.
Gamyam proved this time again as some of the low budget all time hits, that it is the story and the way it is told that makes a movie hit but not the huge star cast.I was really touched by the way Krish narrated the journey of a human being transforming himself from an arrogant, spoiled youngster to a sensible , altruistic ,good Samaritan. Abhiram's character was the one where his lifestyle reflected his upbringing and family circumstances that made him a person what he was today at the start of the film. And it took him his love to realise what is reality of a life .In his journey of realizing what is important in life he has lost a good friend who is guileless , happy go lucky type personified human being and helped a lady in giving birth to a new child. We as human beings most of the time just ignore the fact that the reason that you can be happy is through helping the needful who are in need. I don't always believe that a movie has to give social message to the society. But in this movie it had both entertainment and a social message.I could feel the sense of the message at the end of the movie when i was leaving the cinema hall.I have read some posts on the scene where the director introduced the forest scene with Naxals leader was not necessary .But I personally feel that the link between the guy who rescues Abhiram and his link to the naxalism was very well linked together.Till that scene i was wondering who is this guy and how could he very well handle a gun . And once this scene appeared it made a total sense to me.And the scene that followed this forest scene where Seenu dies , i think this was the most touching part of the movie.I was enjoying the humour portrayed by gaali seenu so much that I was literally in tears when i saw this frame where seenu leaves his last breath in Abhiram's arms.
Overall a very good movie that i would recommend to Telugu film lovers to watch. Very good direction and screenplay by Krish. Sharwanand and Naresh have done very good acting.I felt like Kamalinee's role was not much elevated although the story revolves around her.Nice background music blended with humour , sentiment and social message.Something that could have been better was the editing part, i personally felt that in some parts of the movie the frames did not sync in properly.Looking at the new potential i m sure that in the coming years we can definitely witness some nice movies from these talented young directors. All the best Krish.

-Gamyam 2
First up, I would like to congratulate Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi alias Krish on achieving his dream of becoming a film director. I had had the chance of knowing him personally as my senior during my graduate program in USA. We had quite a few discussions on films and he always surprised me with his “out-of-box” thinking and approach towards filmmaking. When he set out to Hyderabad to realize his dream of becoming a film director, we all knew that he would achieve his dream sooner or later – it was just a matter of time.
Having known Krish and his outlook towards films, I set high expectations when I went to watch Gamyam over the last weekend in the Washington DC metro area and I must say, he surpassed my expectations by making a sensible love story with a philosophical touch. Telugu audiences always encourage directors who make meaningful movies and the presence of a good audience for this movie over the weekend was a reinstatement to this fact; a great feat considering an inclement weather situation in the DC area over the past weekend.
The story is about a rich young man who discovers his inner-self after going through some experiences that change his outlook towards life. Narrating an artistic story in a commercially entertaining way is a bold attempt for a debutant and Krish did a great job in doing so. Every character seems to be etched for a definite purpose and there is lucidity in the story narration.
Sharwanand did a good job; but it is Naresh who steals the show with his maverick performance. His dialogs evoked good response from the audience. Lyrics by Seetarama Sastry Garu deserve a special mention but slightly better music would have done wonders to the movie from a music perspective.
It is good to see young and talented directors make their foray in the Telugu film industry churning out good meaningful movies. Krish has a great future and he should continue to make meaningful movies like Gamyam. I strongly recommend this movie to Telugu movie lovers who have been served with routine formula movies in the recent past. My hearty congratulations to Krish on his success and I wish him many more!

Awsome Journey - Gamyam 3
First I was not inclined to watch the movie mainly because of the low star cast. But my friend insisted on watching it and obliged his request. After watching the movie I felt that I was not fooled again. Its been a while now that a movie of such values and morals had hit the Telugu screen.
First of all the characters, they were so real and elegantly portrayed by Sharwanad and Allari Naresh. Special mention has to be given to Allari Naresh for his acting skills and dialogue diction. He was so real and the name Gaali Seenu aptly suits his character in the film. Abhiram the filthy rich spoiled brat portrayed by Sharwanand was well characterised. We can see the transformation of Abhiram from a rich , arrogant young man to a sensible, caring and benevolent person.
The journey of Abhiram in pursuit of his love , really changed his attitude towards life. I am not a movie buff and I hardly watch movies. But I watched this movie twice. There wasn't a dull moment in the movie. The director should be commended for this effort. After watching the movie I told my friends to watch it. And they cancelled their weekend bash out and watched it. It was a joy ride.
The dialogues were simple, clear and wonderful. Movies like these should be encouraged. Its a clear winner in all departments. You can't fool the audience with some regular action packed revenge dramas. The ace film makers can learn something out of this movie. I strongly recommend everyone to watch this movie and you won't regret it.
